About Altratum

Altratum was founded in 2017 with the goal to make it easier to start, manage, and grow for-profit businesses and non-profit organizations. We did that by selling products, software, and services that were (a) innovative, (b) accessible (easy to understand and affordable), and (c) powerful because they helped our customers act more strategically.


Co-founders Mark Listes and Jacob Kipp created Altratum because they believe starting, scaling, and pushing businesses should be easy, less expensive, and more accessible to everyone. After three years of pursuing that philosophy, Altratum stopped operating in late 2020. However, Jacob and Mark remain committed to empowering entreprenuers seeking to take their organizations to the next level.

Altratum's Four Divisions

Our four divisions, Altratum Parts, Altratum Commander, Altratum Grants, and Altratum Consulting, each offered innovative, unique, and powerful products to bring high-end, robust, and cutting-edge practices and technologies to organization leaders and entrepreneurs.

  • Parts

    As easy as buying an App, Altratum Parts were custom-built components for businesses or organizations that filled gaps or helped take work to the next level. Parts ranged from organizational strategy to risk-management frameworks, funding application reviews, process engineering, and new websites, and they were typically rolled out in under 2 weeks.

  • Commander

    Altratum Commander was a centralized management platform. Commander commoditized and distributed tasks in real time so that organizations could work faster and more effectively. Even more, managers could be hands-on without even being in the same place.

  • Grants

    Altratum Grants helped leaders fund their non-profit or NGO. Our funder database and funder bulletin provided key information about who was funding what types of organizations. And our funding consulting services helped organization leaders bring in the funds they needed.

  • Consulting

    Comprehensive and data-driven, Altratum Consulting's services helped our customers always be ahead of the competition, no matter what was going on in their organization. Nonprofits and businesses could leverage Altratum staff's award winning expertise to take their organizations to the next level.
